Hello!

People First. Always.

To be honest, I wanted to be a ballerina. I didn’t plan on a career in Human Resources—it found me.

From the beginning, I knew I wasn’t a traditional HR professional. I struggled with the idea of being the “policy police,” enforcing rules without context, terminating instead of coaching, and drowning in paperwork—so much paper. (Looking back, investing in Band-Aids during those filing-heavy years might’ve been a smart move.)

The early part of my career taught me what not to do, and more importantly, what kind of HR professional I wanted to become. I knew I could make a real difference.

Like many in this field, I’ve worked hard to shift the perception of HR from “party planner and disciplinarian” to strategic business partner. I’ve taken a seat at the table, establishing myself and my teams as thoughtful collaborators and culture advocates. We’ve moved beyond the transactional—this is People & Culture now. And it matters. People matter. Culture matters.

Yes, it still bothers me that HR is often seen as a negative force. But I hope to change that—one project, one client, one employee at a time. Being part of the evolution of HR into People & Culture has been a privilege, and while the work isn’t finished (maybe it never will be), I welcome the challenge.

Outside of work, I love a good book, saltwater taffy, and the magic of New Orleans. I’m learning to love gardening, but the green thumb gene seems to have skipped me.

And yes—I still want to be a ballerina when I grow up.

Let’s do something great together. How can I help?
